Reed & Mackay announces launch of new venue find service using pro-ven "pro-active" technology
One of the UK's most established and respected travel management and event management companies, Reed & Mackay, has announced the launch of their new venue finding service. Supported by a dedicated fulfilment team and using pro-ven's proprietary software platform "pro-active", the service will be delivered to Reed & Mackay's portfolio of high quality clients.

Rexam selects pro-ven for global Business School
The leading consumer packaging company and largest manufacturer of beverage cans in the world, Rexam plc, has appointed pro-ven to manage its global Business School venue requirements. pro-ven was chosen from a shortlist of six service providers and as well as venue sourcing and placement will offer a bespoke online delegate management and registration solution to Rexam's teams based in London and Charlotte, USA.

Following an extensive full market review and tender, the global medical devices provider Smith & Nephew plc has contracted pro-ven as its sole venue placement solutions provider. The appointment includes the provision of contract management and will be delivered by a dedicated team, supported by pro-ven's online communication and booking tool, pro-active.

Calendar View in "pro-active LIVE"
A logical development of our web enabled environment pro-active has been to provide our clients with a calendar view of their bookings. They can now view future and past bookings by month or by week, quickly accessing details about their bookings and also downloading copies of proposals and confirmations. Feedback from clients has already been very positive. and the tool is clearly a great benefit for clients when planning their company wide meetings schedule. "pro-active LIVE" web access
pro-ven has developed a live access portal within their proprietary system, pro-active. Clients are able to log on via pro-ven's website portal and view their enquiries live and realtime. They are also able to view and download copies of proposals and confirmations, as well as using the system to communicate amendments or revisions to existing bookings.

The portal will have further modules added in the New Year as more leading edge solutions are integrated for the benefit of pro-ven's expanding client base.

NATS signs extended contract
Following a very successful initial 3 year term, the joint airline and government traffic control organisation NATS has signed a new contract with pro-ven. pro-ven's ability to deliver excellent savings and the highest quality service were key factors in NATS decision to retain pro-ven as a trusted partner supplier.

Unilever mandates use of pro-ven
The new Unilever UK Chairman, Amanda Sourry, has mandated the use of pro-ven for all UK meetings and events. The directive is supported by the implementation of a Citibank meetings card, and by the end of 2010 all Unilever sites in the UK will be operating a consolidated payment process managed by pro-ven. As well as providing extended credit, the solution that has seen Unilever and pro-ven working closely together with Citibank will streamline the booking and payment process and reduce Unilever's administration costs.

Jason Yiasoumi, FCCA, Commercial Director at pro-ven says "The efficiencies and credit enhancement opportunities delivered by implementing a meetings card are highly attractive to corporate clients. pro-ven was able to demonstrate four years of successfully operating  such a solution for other major clients and this gave Unilever the confidence to put the meetings card in place across their UK businesses. In addition venues are getting paid quickly and accurately which make the proposition attractive to all parties."

"pro-active LIVE" launched
In January this year, pro-ven launched "pro-active LIVE", a fully web-based venue enquiry system. A bespoke web form is created for each client enquiry that is then emailed direct to the venue to complete and submit, with the response being verified and dropped directly into the client proposal. As an integrated end-to-end system, "pro-active LIVE" is highly efficient, fast and increases accuracy compared to traditional manual systems. Julian Laxon, MD of pro-ven says "there is clearly a need in the venue finding arena for a simple and cost effective tool to support the online RFP and enquiry process. Systems such as Starcite and Arcaneo Metron have their place, but we are continually being told they are overly complicated and undoubtedly expensive. Initial feedback from "pro-active LIVE" users and venues has been extremely positive and pro-ven is very excited about the further enhancements we have planned ".

G4S plc confirms official supplier status for pro-ven
Following excellent feedback from their booking community, G4S plc, the worlds largest security services provider, has made pro-ven their official venue finder. Simon Hubbard, Associate Account Director for pro-ven, will support the operations team managing a wide range of domestic and international conference and event requirements. The procurement led appointment is another positive sign that pro-ven's service and technology solution is perfectly aligned to meet the needs of organisations as they consolidate meeting and event booking process and spend.
